Charming Double Room, 1 Single Sofa Bed, 1 Bathroom, 1 Kitchen, LivingRoom

Our cosy and bright apartment is located at the top floor of a very elegant building built during the ‘20s in the heart of Prati Della Vittoria neighbourhood, one of the most authentic and distinguished areas of the town. The area was named in that way (Prati means lawn in English) because in antique Roman times it was mainly covered by  grasslands and vineyards. Now it is one of the most dynamic districts of the city and it is just a few minutes walk from downtown. The neighbourhood offers you the chance to visit the Horrors Museum of the famous film director Dario Argento, the ancient Teatro Adriano, the Palace of Justice, and many different shops, bakeries, ice-cream shops, bars, restaurants pubs and cinemas. For instance, our “film addicted” guests should try the “Cinema Azzuro Scipioni”, one of the city's most remarkable Cine-clubs.

It is interesting to know that originally, the urban planning of the neighbourhood was based on a weird idea: the aim was to make impossible to see the Basilica of San Peter from any of the houses of the area. Paradoxically, from the window of our bright living room is it possible to admire the dome of the Basilica.
The flat is an excellent starting point to explore the amazing richness offered by the Eternal City. In 15 minutes you will be able to reach Piazza del Popolo, one of the most beautiful “Piazzas” of the town Centre. The Saint Peter Basilica and the Vatican are just 20 minutes walk from the house. The Olympic Stadium, the Auditorium, the Maxxi Museum, the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, the National Gallery of Modern Art and Villa Borghese are set just a couple of kilometres from us!
The neighbourhood is well connected to the public transport network. The Metro Line A stop Lepanto is just 10 minutes walking from the flat. The tram number 19 is even less distant than the metro services and will carry you in San Lorenzo district, well known for its enthusiastic student mood!

There is an alternative way of moving, even faster than with a scooter, a bus and of course a car: we are speaking about the old and loyal bike! This the way we prefer to move in the streets of Rome. You can rent a bike in via Capoprati (10 minutes walking form the flat). You will have the opportunity and privilege to discover the city from another perspective along the long bike path hosted by the banks of the river Tiber!

The apartment has been designed to lodge 2 or 3 people in an open space with a double bed, a single sofa-bed and a dining area with a beautiful table. The fully furnished kitchen is separated from the open space area. A bathroom with a shower and a bidet is set next to the double bed area.
You will be welcomed with fresh fruit, jam, cookies, candies, coffee, milk, wine, pasta and tomato sauce 'Made in Italy'! Our aim is to make you feel at home without being worried about running in a supermarket after a long journey!

If you are curious and you want to discover the secrets of Roman cuisine, its ingredients, its history, we will be at your disposal for a real “food tour” to explore the markets, the butchers, the fish shops, the fresh pasta laboratories and the wine shops amongst the most popular of the capital. We could then prepare and cook together the traditional dishes of our city. A nice way to learn something new and enjoy real homemade dishes!

This little corner of heaven in Rome was our home for 4 nights. It had everything we needed. Nice neighborhood, easy walk to the Vatican, excellent host. We walked everywhere but when we needed a taxi, they were available right around the corner. Bright, cheerful, comfortable. We could not ask for more! We needed to add one day to our stay and Annalisa found us an apartment and made all the arrangements for us. Thank Annalisa, we will recommend you to everyone.

Appartement agréable! Appartement conforme aux photos, commerces à proximité, quartier calme. Très bon séjour à Rome, aucune mauvaise surprise.

Bodinier R. - 04/08/2014

Perfect appartment to stay in Rome! Perfect appartment, well equipped, well furnished, in a nice building 15-20 min walk from the city center. Very nice people too, with friendly communication before the vacation, during the trip and after.

Mary L. - 04/08/2014

The apartment felt like home and I can give it no greater compliment. Your contact person Annalisa is very friendly, helpful and honestly, seem to have your best interest in mind. She also gave a mobile number and advised that I phone her if I needed anything at all. She responded to my requests in no time and always with a solution. This apartment is in a quiet and posh location. You are within a 10min bus ride of all main tourist attractions (only 15min walk to the Vatican & Villa Borghese). There are many quality restaurants on your doorstep. The kitchen was well stocked with the utensils, pots and pans to cook dinner at home. The apartment website is 100% accurate regarding location, layout and facilities. I look forward to returning next year to Via Asiago.

Chlo D. - 04/08/2014

We particularly appreciated the housing accommodation of the appartment 8 via Asiago to Roma. It was very clean, ordered well, and equipped well, and situated in a very quiet district, which allowed us to immerse in the everyday life of Romain. The building is Also very pleasant, and bit extra, we had access to the terrace to dry our linen there.

Virginia T. - 04/08/2014

If you're visiting Rome, there simply is no better place to stay than this darling flat at Via Asiago. We traveled throughout Italy on our recent honeymoon, and our stay in Rome was truly magical, which we credit entirely to our location at Via Asiago. The neighborhood is removed from the tourist traps of the old city and Vatican area; close enough to see the top of St Peter's Cathedral, yet far enough away to take in the experience of truly living as the locals do. Stop at the grocery just a stone's throw away for delicious deli meats, olives, exquisite cheese, and wine. Or join in on the morning tradition at any of the area's coffee bars. The best coffee in Italy (in fact in the world) is not just in Roma, but found in this very corner of the great city, in the streets and squares around Via Asiago. The apartment was clean and even nicer than shown in the photos. All was well-appointed and included the necessities of the wandering North American right down to a hairdryer, and the all-important wine opener. The bed is a very comfortable memory foam and the pillows were quality as well. Our host, Gabriel, met us at the flat and stayed with us from parking, to a walking tour in order to get the lay-of-the-land. Gabriel went far, far above the call of duty to make sure we had a handle on the right sites to see, and took us to the grocery and introduced us to the owner, Alessandro. Even the experience of washing our own clothes and hanging them out in the open air was part of the romance of this place. Though perhaps just for a few days, we will forever feel that we lived as the Romans do! From our first turn of the large brass key, to our last ride down the historic lift for two - we had the time of our life!

Appartement très agréable, propre et fonctionnel dans un quartier paisible proche du Vatican et de la Villa Borghese. Anna Lisa est une propriétaire très avenante et chaleureuse. Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour à Rome !

"Great value, safe location for couple on vacation" Annalisa is a jewel with very good English, We appreciate the check-in goodies and all her kindness. She made our trip to Rome special. We would book again. This sunny apartment is on the top floor, just outside the elevator door. Booking photos accurately represent the flat. Beautiful sunlight fills the apartment from early morning to afternoon. The neighborhood is quiet, away from Rome's noisiest traffic. We felt safe walking the streets at all hours of the day. Positives include ease of access to restaurants (6 or 7 within a four minute walk), grocery store (5 minute walk), deli (at end of the street) and transportation. The Lepanto Metro is about 8-10 minute walk. St. Peters is about 20 minute walk almost due south from apartment. Just a 2 minute walk away is the best gelato we have ever had...ask annalisa where. It is a must-do. Some local restaurants have no English, so take your phrase book. The apartment is very Ikea- small but adequate for our needs. The kitchen is equipped with cooktop, fridge, microwave, pannini toaster, washer and electric kettle. Hot water tap is 'on demand' and very hot. Appliances and dishes were clean and functional. The 'living' area is taken up with large table, storage benches and chairs. There is no actual 'sitting room', but we spent most of our time walkabout and only occasionally wished for a cozy couch or chair. The warm oak real wood floors are beautifully maintained. The large TV in the bedroom swivels to view, has BBC and other English channels available, if you have time to watch. We had one small problem with the internet, which annalisa quickly resolved. This was the only issue we encountered. The location is not close to the 'tourist' places. What I wanted was a feel for how Romans live day to day. How do they do marketing, get to work, school, and shopping? If you want to experience these things, this is a great value with a great rental agent.

We had an amazing time staying here, the apartment was very clean and tidy, modern and comfortable. everything you need is in there, we were greeted by the two friendly managers at the bulding and was shown around, they had bought us some basic supplies such as milk pasta and biscuits. The apartment was exactly as described, and only being 5 minutes from the nearest metro station its easy to get too. Woul definately reccomend, Very happy!

Noura K. - 13/05/2015

Claire H. - 13/05/2015

The flat is very well situated, everything can be done walking. The guest were really nice, everything was really well organized for arrival and departure. It's in the las floor luminous and calm (don't worry there is an elevator). The only downside is the second bed, not really fit for an adult.

Pascal L. - 02/06/2015
