Trastevere, from Latin Trans Tiberim, meaning Beyond the Tiber, was once connected to the rest of the city only through one bridge, the very famous and antique Sublicio bridge. This was the place that fishermen and sailors chose to live because of the proximity to the river. The twisted and irregular narrow streets, witness of a time when the poor people built their homes close to those of the rich, are now the main feature of Trastevere. Thanks to this amazing crossing of streets, alleys and to the light that filters between them, Trastevere is a kaleidoscope of colours, shades and surprising perspectives! The neighbourhood is one of the most complete and independent of the city: you can easily find bars, pubs, pizzerias, banks, pharmacies, cinemas, markets and still a lot of tiny old craftsmen shops who keep alive the ancient Roman spirit. One of the most beautiful squares, today a cool meeting point for young people, is the Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere. It hosts one of the oldest working fountains of the city while on one of its sides stands the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere which houses beautiful mosaics depicting moments of everyday life of the Virgin Mary. Trastevere is also well known for the mysterious secrets hidden amongst its many winding streets. Following them you will enter the beauty of Rome's from the main door!

Very clean, nice apartment, in walking distance to all the most well-known sights. Situated in a wonderfully vibrant neighborhood close to some of the best restaurants.

I rented this apartment for a 6 week stay. The apartment itself was quite adequete and very nice. Good hot water, good water pressure, and plenty of space for one or two people. The neighborhood of Trastevere I love. But at times it can be very noisy. The people outside are eating dinner and milling around having a great time, but unfortunately sometimes you can hear it’s inside the apartment. When the windows are closed it makes a big difference. But because there isn’t any air conditioning that’s not always an option. I would recommend this apartment and this building to anyone looking to be in a lively, fun area of Rome.

Lovely clean apartment with everything we required in a great part of town Staying here was very easy. We were met on arrival and shown around the apartment. Great central location, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to visit. Try the pizza place across the road, it is amazing.

We really liked this place. We had a great time staying here. Comfortable and good location. Only one problem - the key to front door takes great skill, patience, and occasional help from observers. A new key is needed.

Dee B. - 01/10/2018

Villa was exactly what we expected, great views, lots of room, nice pool area, very quiet and private. The hill up from the sea was steep but we did know about this beforehand. Just some small issues with kitchen sink leaking and water pressure in on of the sinks and smelly drain in one of the bathrooms.

The apartment is just as described. It was pretty confortable for 5 people. The elevator is good for heavy luggage and you can confortably use the stairs of you like. The apartment is just a stop from termini and from accross the street you can take buses everywere or to termini and then head to your spot. The neighborhood is very friendly and safe as there is a lot of hotel nearby and great option of restaurants and cafes. The check in and check out process was very easy and we could easily contact the host. Defenitely recomended as a great place for families and groups!

Very comfortable, homey apartment in the best part of Trastevere I really loved staying in this apartment. The apartment was quiet, the rooms were bright, the furnishings were very comfortable. I really liked being able to have a leisurely morning and being able to make coffee and breakfast in the kitchen which is well supplied for anyone who would like to cook. The apartment is surrounded by many bars, restaurants, and grocery stories and is very close to public transportation. I would stay here again whenever I am in Rome.

a good place within walking distance of cafes, restaurants and bars.

Emily N. - 05/12/2018

Great location! We really enjoyed our stay in Rome. The neighborhood was lively and filled with great places to eat and drink. The apartment was clean, large and comfortable. Wifi worked great throughout the apartment as well.

Ajla H. - 05/12/2018

The place was on a great location it was bright and warm. The noises from the street were really loud, window isolation is very bad. The interior looked much better on the pictures so we were a little disapointed when we came to apartment otherwise everything was ok.

Hugues L. - 02/01/2019

The apt is in central Trastevere - near restaurants and an easy jaunt to the Vatican or Campo di Fiori

Dirk W. - 01/03/2019

Sehr schönes Appartement mitten in Trastevere Ein sehr schönes Appartement mitten im schönen Trastevere. Alles was man benötigt (Bar, Supermarkt, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel) sind in direkter Umgebung. Der Weg ins Centro Storico ist mit Tram oder zu Fuss einfach zu bewältigen. Für Rom-Fans und Neuankömmlinge eine ideale Lage. Sehr nette Vermieter, die immer erreichbar waren. Ganz klare Empfehlung. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Great Apartment in a great location. The apartment is charming and perfect for the 2 of us. The layout is very good with a separate living area, kitchen and bedroom. It is on the first floor and there is an elevator as well. The pizza across the apartment is pretty tasty and value for money. Overall, a great apartment to stay and would definitely recommend the apartment. Karen
