APARTMENT FOR 4 PEOPLE, SUPER CONNECTED

 Description

Double Bedroom, Living Room with Sofa Bed, Large Kitchen, Bathroom!

Our cosy apartment is located in a straight road leading from Porta Maggiore, the most beautiful antique Gate of Rome, well known because of the 'tomb of the baker, to the Termini station.
The charming building was built in 1911 according to the design of social housing for railwaymen, when each family had an apartment.
The walls of the apartment are whispering memories about our family: the dreamy stories coming out of the magic lantern of Grandpa Luigi on the terrace, the colourful shawls of Grandma Giovanna, that broke the heart of the young Roman man thanks to a Sicilian Cannolo during a tram ride.
Our house has a deep historical memory, “she” experienced the joy of the Liberation of Rome, the 4th of June 1944, after having survived the bombing of San Lorenzo the 19th of July 1943.
Poetry and painting, photography and literature, the rooms in via Achille Grandi have always generated Art. It is enough to look at the street, a little bit old fashioned but coloured, and then to move your gaze on Via Giolitti to breath and feel the atmosphere of the Great Beauty: from the Roman ruins of the Temple of Minerva Medica to the small church of Santa Bibiana, a baroque jewel designed by Bernini located at the bottom of the rationalist Water Tower built in the 30's by the architect Mazzoni.

We are located in a strategically position, near the archaeological heart of the Eternal City, the Coliseum and the Appia Antica, a step away from the multiethnic market in Piazza Vittorio, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the cosy clubs, restaurants, pubs and cafes of San Lorenzo. Casa Natali is a perfect place for your holidays in Rome, you will enjoy the position, the atmosphere, the architecture based on vaults .

87 square meters room, double bedroom with  double bed, large living room with sofa bed, dining room,  kitchenette, bathroom with shower and bidet, Independent heating, television, wi fi.

The apartment is located in a convenient area with easy accesses to public transportations to down town Rome. The apartment is extractly the same as the pictures show. Georgia at Charme Holidays was very nice and waited for our arrival. Some welcome gifts were also prepared. We like our stay at this place. A few things that could be improved include the replacement of some old kitchen wares, stock of toilet paper and a more solid bed in the bed room.

A recommander. Merci beaucoup !

This comfortable, spacious apartment is conveniently located near Termini Station, and even closer to the Manzoni Metro Station. A tram line is located two blocks away which we used to get to Termini Station. The bedroom, kitchen, and living room areas are spacious and comfortable. The futon bed worked well in the living area. We are a family of 4 people and the apartment worked well for us. Air conditioning would have been a nice feature, yet with screened windows, the apartment did not get overly hot during the warm weather we experienced in June. The garden area is a delight, and I enjoyed spending mornings outdoors. The small water heater necessitated very brief showers; yet heated up fast enough between rinses--which is standard for most places that we have spent time in. We appreciated the basket of snacks and fruit upon arrival! Giorga was accessible and available from the time she met us in front of the apartment and during a necessary phone call. The apartment is highly recommended!

Lovely apartment! Giorgia warmly welcomed us and give us lots of useful information. We really appreciated it. The house is a little bit old but is still very comfortable. It is just 5 minutes' walk from the tramway station, 10 min from the supermarket and 15 min from the best ice-cream shop! I recommend this nice house!

Michael W. - 07/11/2016

We selected this apartment for its size and location for our recent 5 day stay in Rome. The apartment is exactly as it looks and has a decent bed and is well equipped with cooking supplies etc. Giorgia our host was very friendly and met us at the door and was helpful in letting know about the area. The unit itself was relatively clean, but the floors, bathroom and dishes were superficially clean rather than spotless. The furniture in the living room is very old and the old couch should be replaced as it smells dusty/moldy and was damp the whole time, probably due to the humidity. The location is very close to public transit and about 15 minutes from the Roma Termini main train station which is very handy, and about 20 minutes from the Colesseum/Forum/Palantino hill sites. The neighborhood like much of Rome is filthy, the streets are covered in garbage and cigarette butts. While we didn't feel unsafe at anytime, the area is very dirty and lots of traffic and train noise from the offset street. As a low cost Rome rental this suite is handy and will do the job, but don't expect 5-star conditions.

Appartamento molto carino e ben fornito.

Michael R. - 01/06/2017

Pros - poor Katia waited until after 1am because our plane was late. There was a fee for this but it was so late that it seemed reasonable. Walkable if you're fit and healthy. Had a nice meal here because we had everything we needed here. It did everything we needed. Cons - bed was awful, every time we breathed it made an awful noise so we had to move the mattress off the bed. And it was clear on check out that this had been reported before. Bathroom was quite small and felt like it was a room someone forgot to make until the last minute, but it served its purpose. Light sleepers be aware- you can hear vibrations from local transport at all times of the night, or people walking by, the neighbours or whoever it was that rang our doorbell at 5am... the glassware etc was mostly a bit dirty so we had to wash everything before we used it. But overall it did what we needed, felt worth it and everyone we spoke to was helpful and nice. So we don't regret our choice at all. They also gave us helpful recommendations.

Bien desservi.

Debra M. - 07/07/2017

The check in manager Marco, was friendly enough but kept us waiting out in the street in the hot sun for a while when we arrived. He was kind enough to order a Taxi when we needed it. The flat was not air conditioned which didn't give us any relief from the summer heat. It would have been nice to have ceiling or floor fans. It was a place to sleep, but was not a home away from home. The bathroom was very small, bedside the kitchen and had an adequate hot water supply. The kitchen was adequate but the fridge didn't keep things cold enough and ice cube trays are almost non existent. It had a washing machine which was nice to have and soap was provided. It had an exclusive courtyard garden seating area off the kitchen area which was a bit noisy and dusty. The location was close to the Roma Termini train station but not close to attractions. The flat was clean enough but the floors were very dirty. We wouldn't stay again but might recommend it to 4 students or young people needing a flat near the train station.

Kate B. - 03/08/2017

Fantastic Flat For a start, there's so much space. The rooms are such a good size, bigger than they look in the photos. It's in a good location for everything. We're good walkers and we walked all over Rome, but if you don't want to walk, this place has a tram at the end of the street that takes you straight up to Termini in a few minutes and from there you can get anywhere. The flat is close to the metro, a good local supermarket, wonderful gelato and a great local fruit & vegetable market, where you can also get meat, fish, pastries and fresh pasta. It has a big comfortable bed and despite being in the middle of a big city we slept really well. We loved the courtyard, where we had breakfast every morning. We were lucky to have fantastic weather for the whole time we were staying here. We got really good local information from Giorgia, who showed us around the flat when we arrived and was helpful for the whole of our stay. I couldn't recommend this place more highly. Such a bargain for the price.

Very nice apartment. Spacious, nice garden and good communication

Youngyio L. - 05/02/2018

Good location, spacious room

John H. - 05/02/2018

Beautiful property.

Julie D. - 05/02/2018

Good location and plenty of space but needs some TLC, a lick of paint, and a better quality bed in the main bedroom. All good facilities but TV not good sound quality but there is a DVD player which we didn't try. I would rather pay a bit more for a few improvements and home comforts but I don't know if this standard is a realistic expectation for Rome prices as I don't go there regularly. The apartment has a lot of character and some quirky features which are interesting and also has quite a homely feel after a busy day in Rome.

Chin K. - 07/06/2018

The owner has done a lot for the apartment by using old furniture and fittings salvaged from the antique stores. One would appreciate his efforts in redecorating his apartment so artistically. Located downtown Rome, it is conveniently accessible to all the historical sites. The apartment is spacious and could comfortably accommodate a family of four. There is also a small garden attached the apartment which is ideal for having drinks or eating outdoor.
